Our Story

"Ian, don't drink that!"

With a pre-school-aged son and a new baby girl in the house, I was forever worried about germs and knew how important it was to try to keep illness at a distance. Unfortunately, a constant flow of family and friends in our home made this a real challenge. People were always putting their bottles down somewhere and losing track of whose drink was whose. After throwing away the almost-full bottle of a confused water drinker for what felt like the millionth time, I knew there had to be a better way. I wanted to keep my family healthy, but was tired of watching my money follow the wasted water down the drain...

I searched everywhere for some kind of identification that I could put around the neck of a bottle, but wouldn't fall off, rub off, tear off or just be plain annoying. No luck! Finally, I just started making what I needed on my own and was pleased to find that my little charm bands were a huge hit with everyone. Adults loved the germ-less convenience of instant bottle identification and kids loved the colorful charms. When the kids started requesting designs and drinking more water, I realized we might be on to something that other families could benefit from as well.

So, WaterBuds were officially born...

...And quickly became a group effort! My husband, Ken, worked long and hard designing the perfect prototype and family friends, Kirsten and Brad with children of their own, quickly saw the benefits of telling folks about WaterBuds, so jumped on-board to lend a hand. Partnering together, our families formed WaterBuds, LLC and started the process that would let our families share a great product with your family. We think you'll come to love these "little charmers" just as much as we have...

Use them in the best of health!
